FARMER’S MARKET AT VAIL HEADQUARTERS

I’ve never actually gone to a farmer’s market before now, and I can’t really tell you why. I think the idea of them is so cute and I’ve always wanted to go, but for some reason I just never put much thought or effort into finding out where or when they were. I recently found out that we actually have quite a few local ones that I’ll definitely need to check out after going to the one today so I can scope out all the other amazing vendors that are out there! 

The Farmer’s Market at Vail HQ seems to be a smaller one as compared to ones I’ve heard about or seen in passing, but it was cute nonetheless! Thinking about it now though, it may have just been on a day that wasn’t as busy with vendors as it normally is. 

There were train rides and games for kids, local produce, handcrafted goods, local small businesses, specialty foods, artisan goods, and more. We actually left with some fresh berries and a jar of local honey which is so good you guys! We were able to get a sample of it before purchasing and YUM!  

While we were there, I also discovered a really delicious Golden Milk Latte that tastes SO good you guys! I feel like it might just be my new go to drink! It’s made of turmeric, ginger and cinnamon and you mix with almond milk. How delicious does that sound?! Then enjoy it over ice or hot.

Along with the latte, we were given samples of three other teas, all of which where tasty and refreshing in this hot summer weather. Hunter even enjoyed the taste!

Of course we couldn’t leave without also getting our hands on some delicious fresh berries and fruit too! We got a three pack of berry baskets and they were about half way gone by the time we left! (apparently our kids are berry fanatics!)

Overall, I’d say it was a great first time at a farmer’s market. We found and tried new things, discovered local vendors and got to spend some time outdoors before the heat really got to us.

This market in particular is open every Tuesday from 9:00am until 1:00pm, rain or shine! So if you’re ever in the area and want to check it out, I definitely say go for it! There’s also a cute little coffee and ice cream shop and places to eat as well in case you or your littles get hungry.
