WHAT’S IN MY DIAPER BAG | MY DIAPER BAG ESSENTIALS

Ok everyone! Today I’m sharing with you what my diaper bag must-haves are. Now that we have two kiddos, and more spread apart in age, I’ve quickly learned that I should probably pack more than I think I should.

With spills, the occasional diaper leak, and a boy that gets into and eats everything in sight, I finally decided to upgrade my diaper bag too and I am SO glad that I did! When I was still pregnant with Hunter, I got a bag from Coco & Kiwi that was really cute, grey and white stripes, with tan handles. It looked cute and it was affordable too, but I’ve since realized that I need more space to carry things for two kids, and something a bit more functional.

I ended up purchasing the Greenwich Multi-Function Diaper Bag Backpack in Olive from Skip Hop and I am in love! I purchased it from Amazon and got it for just $69.99! (they also have other colors like black and a dusty rose! The price seems to fluctuate a bit from $69.99-$100 but if you keep an eye on it, you can snag it for the lower end of the price!) Plus, it’s free shipping for Prime members!

Something I absolutely love about this diaper bag is that there are so many compartments in it! Not just on the inside, but on the outside as well, and it is so functional! We like to go to places like Disneyland and the Zoo, and this little beauty has straps that attach to your stroller handle! Leaving you with more space for goodies in the compartment at the bottom of your stroller! (score!) Apart from that, it also comes with a little changing pad in the very back compartment which is great because if you’re on the go, it’s nice to have something you can lay your little one on when changing their diaper or clothes!

Most days I like to keep things pretty simple with what I toss into the diaper bag. I always keep my nursing cover, diapers and wipes (of course) and the Anti Monkey Butt Baby powder with calamine. Hunter tends to get a bit of a rash when it gets too hot so this powder comes in handy and is a total life saver during the warmer months especially! Next, I like to pack pacifier wipes. Hunter doesn’t really use his pacifier anymore, but these wipes are great for wiping toys, cups, teethers, etc., and they definitely are a must have for our bag!

I also never leave without having a change of clothes for both kids. I’ve definitely learned my lesson about not packing extras, so that’s always something I have in our diaper bag! It’s great in case baby has a spill, the unfortunate occasional blowout (I think we’ve all been there!), and any other situation you can think of. Or if it’s just being prepared for a change of weather. I highly recommend packing a change of clothes for the kiddos!

Along with all of that, I always like to throw in a couple of hats for the kids just in case it’s going to be hot and sunny wherever we’re going. These ones from Tiny Trucker Co. are so cute and they have SO MANY options for kids! (plus, they have a HUGE variety of truckers for EVERYONE else too! *they also gave me a code for you guys to use to get FREE shipping on your orders! I highly recommend checking them out. We have so many of their hats (and sweatshirts and tumblers!) and they’re amazing! You can use the code “KDTTC” at checkout for free shipping!

Last but not least, I like to pack water and snacks with us just in case the kids get hungry. Usually I’ll pack some yogurt melts or crackers for Hunter, and a granola bar and apple sauce for Madilynn. If we’re planning on being gone for a longer amount of time, I’ll usually pack a couple of sandwiches and some fruit and sometimes a juice pouch too. I love that I can fit EVERYTHING into our diaper bag and basically still have room for other things if I needed it.

I hope this helped you all to have an idea of what I like to keep in our bag! And if you’re looking for a diaper bag, this is one I highly recommend getting!
