Monthly Goals | April 2020

Wow. Honestly I feel like that’s about all I can say right now. How is it already APRIL?! I feel like going into 2020, I was so determined to have an amazing year. 2019 was an absolute mess and I knew 2020 HAD to be better. Yet here we are, at the start of April and it feels like the world is in chaos.

I’ll be the first one to admit that the past couple of months have been less than stellar. With all of the unknown, transitioning into a completely new routine, not just for myself but for the kids, especially Madilynn since were homeschooling now, and Dereck. It’s been a whirlwind of a lot of emotions.

As I’ve continued to move forward and really focus on what’s important for me and to me in these times, I’ve realized that although this time feels overwhelming and chaotic, it also has its silver lining. More time to bond with the kids, more time with Dereck that we didn’t get before since he was working every day, less money spent on eating out and putting gas in the cars, etc.

Today I thought I’d share what my goals are for the month. Even though we’re not able to get out and do all of our regular things, I think continuing to set goals for ourselves is definitely a good way to help keep us on track so we don’t get ourselves into a funk, so here they are!

A P R I L . G O A L S

  • read at least 3 times every week
  • put $250 (or more) into savings
  • make #SelfCareSunday a non-negotiable
  • Spend at least 1-2 hours outside every day (except for when it’s raining haha)
  • keep up with blogging (so far I think I’m doing a pretty good job of that!)
  • learn something new (any suggestions?? leave them in the comments!)
  • hit AMM rank
  • wake up earlier (I know this sounds crazy but I have been so much less productive lately and I think if I’m getting up earlier then it’ll help!)

& those are my goals for the month! I think I may add in a couple more depending on how I feel, but for the most part, I felt like that was a good start!
